Q.  Does it get crowded?
A.  Yes, very. This happens usually during the Christmas holidays. To reserve a tube, check out our Tubing page.

Q.  When is the best time to visit during the Christmas holidays?
A.  We suggest that you arrive early in the morning and that will help avoid some lines for our tubing hill.

Q.  Is it as busy at night?
A.  No, night tubing is usually the best time to visit during the Christmas holidays.

Q.  If there is no snow will you still be open?
A.  Yes (if temperatures permit), we have a very large snow making system and are not dependent on natural snow.

Q.  Are the tubes included in the price?
A.  Tubes are included in our ticket prices. Tubes are available on a first-come basis.

Q.  Do we need to reserve our tubes?
A.  No, all tubes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We have close to 1,000 tubes. However, since it does get crowded you do have the option to reserve your spot online! Check out our Tubing page for more information.

Q.  Our family wants the family tube can we reserve them?
A.  Sorry, no, these are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Q.  I have a child under 36″ tall, is it okay for her to ride on my lap?
A.  NO NO NO NO! This is a serious safety issue. If you have a child that is under 36″ tall they will be sequestered in the Kids Corral. No lap riding is allowed here.

Q.  Can we leave and return later?
A.  Yes, but remember that our tickets do expire unless it is a bonus day.

Q.  Three hours doesn’t seem long enough to go tubing, is it?
A.   The national average tubing session is approximately 1.5 hours.

Q.  What is a bonus day?
A.  Bonus days allow you to tube the entire day on your ticket and not the usual three hours.

Q.  Are there any discount tickets available?
A.  We offer a few discounts on our website. They’re the best discounts in town. You need only one coupon for the entire family to receive the discount. Check out our Coupons page for available discounts.

Q.  Do you offer a military discount?
A.  We offer a substantial discount to all active military and dependents, we also extend this discount to law enforcement personnel and fire fighters. Valid ID must be presented upon arrival to receive the discount.

Q.  Is tubing dangerous?
A.  Like many activities, snow tubing has inherent risks involved. We however strive to make your experience as safe as possible and we see very few injuries.  We would not be as successful as we are if we saw many injuries.

Q.   Is food available at the Winter Park?
A.   We offer the best handmade pizzas in town, period. We also have hot dogs, brats, nachos, Frito pie, candy, soft drinks, and hot chocolate.

Q.   How pricey is your food?
A.   We price ourselves where you would expect a seasonal facility might. However; our pizza is priced below your typical Pizza Hut or Dominos for a similar pie, our hot chocolate is priced below that which is charged at the convenience store located at the entrance to our park. Our drinks are priced the same as the local convenience store or the vending machines located in area hotels.

Q.  Can we bring our own food and drinks?
A.  Yes, absolutely you are welcome to bring your own vittles and drinks. Sorry, no alcoholic beverages are allowed in the park.

Q.   Is there a place where we can go inside and warm up?
A.   No, we have no indoor seating.

Q.   I heard that you sometimes give away free t-shirts, is this true?
A.   Yes we frequently give away Winter Parks t-shirts, numbers are limited and you need to be a little lucky to catch one. This usually occurs in the evening.

Q.   Can we bring our own tubes and sleds?
A.   Sorry, no, only our equipment can be used, this is an insurance requirement.

Q.   My child is only six years old. Why can’t he go into the Kidz Korral?
A.   The Kidz Korral is a sequestered area reserved for our smallest guests 42″ tall or less.

Q.   Should we wear helmets?
A.   Most people don’t wear them, but we would not suggest that you should not wear one.

Q.   How long are the chutes?
A.   The length of the chutes varies from 600′ to 900′.

Q.   How high is the hill?
A.   The vertical rise of the chutes served by the “A” lift is 60′ and 100′ off the “B” lift.

Q.   What kind of clothes should we wear?
A.   Winter wear is best, ski jackets and pants, nylon jackets are good, most people wear jeans and hoodies and gloves of course.

Q.   What type of foot wear is best ?
A.   A good pair of hiking or work boots is best, tennis and athletic shoes along with cowboy boots are the worst.
